Marvel’s Jessica Jones – Season 3

When Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down. But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a direct collision course that will forever change them both. — Netflix

One of the most impactful events in Jeri Hogarth’s life was receiving a diagnosis of ALS. As the third season begins, Jeri is still navigating her path ahead while dealing with the effects of a degenerative illness. She is also working for herself in an office of her own. Moss said that this new direction was an opportunity for Jeri to “reinvent herself.”

“I think. Jeri Hogarth is really trying to regain her power while she’s feeling incredibly powerless. It’s been interesting to play that and find that.”

“Marvel’s Iron Fist,” coming soon to Netflix, just got some extra legal expertise with the addition of Carrie-Anne Moss to the cast!

Moss will reprise her role as lawyer Jeri Hogarth, first seen in “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” before also appearing in the Season 2 finale of “Marvel’s Daredevil,” to provide Danny Rand (Finn Jones) with help as he returns to New York.

“Carrie-Anne has fast become a fan-favorite part of our street level saga, and we share our viewers’ excitement in bringing her into ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist,’” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “As Marvel fans know, Hogarth in the comics plays a critical role in the life of Danny Rand so it seems only fitting that Carrie-Anne join in.”

“Danny Rand lives in the highest stratosphere of New York’s business society and he’s going to need a ruthless lawyer to help him navigate this alien world,” said Executive Producer and Showrunner, Scott Buck. “I’m very happy to have the opportunity to bring Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth into ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist.’”

HUMANS Season 2 TV Series

AMC and Channel 4 announced that filming is underway on the second season HUMANS with new cast members including The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss and Nashville‘s Sam Palladio. Gemma Chan, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Emily Berrington, Will Tudo, Colin Morgan, Ivanno Jeremiah, Neil Maskell and Ruth Bradley will all reprise their roles from Season 1.

The Kudos-produced drama series, created by writing partners Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (SpooksSpooks: The Greater Good) is set in a parallel present and explores what happens when the lines between humans and machines are blurred. The second season picks up several months after the events of season one, with Niska (Berrington) still at large and in possession of the consciousness code. Her synth family, Mia (Chan), Leo (Morgan) and Max (Jeremiah), unaware of her location, are each trying to find their place in the world while Joe (Goodman-Hill) and Laura (Parkinson) attempt to mend their marriage. As unconfirmed reports of synths behaving inexplicably surface, the ripple effects of one simple yet seismic decision sees the past return dramatically and surprisingly to the door of the Hawkins house.  Joe, Laura and the entire family are faced with a difficult choice that will put the family under an intense spotlight.

Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, Jessica Jones) joins the cast as Dr. Athena Morrow, a pre-eminent Artificial Intelligence expert who is driven by her own motives to create a new kind of machine consciousness. Additional casting includes, Sam Palladio (Nashville, Episodes) as Ed, a struggling café owner trying to breathe life into his family business; Marshall Allman (True Blood, Prison Break) plays Milo Khoury, a young Silicon Valley billionaire, founder and CEO of a leading technology company; intent on changing the world. Sonya Cassidy (The Paradise, Olympus) and Letitia Wright (Cucumber/Banana) round out the cast.

The eight-episode second season is slated to premiere in the U.K. in late 2016 before airing in the U.S. in 2017.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones – Official Trailer

Carrie-Anne Moss has played a lot of powerful, competent, very nerd-friendly women in her career, from the reality-bending Trinity in “The Matrix” to the fierce Aria T’Loak in the “Mass Effect” video game series. So it’s no surprise that she’s continuing the trend in Marvel’s latest superhero show, “Jessica Jones,” as Jeri Hogarth, the manipulative, no-nonsense lawyer who hires Jessica (Krysten Ritter) for her private investigation skills.

If that name sounds vaguely familiar to hardcore comic book fans, it’s because it’s a an adaptation of an already existing character in Marvel lore: Jeryn Hogarth, who legally represents Iron Fist and Luke Cage’s “Heroes For Hire” business. Of course, the version of Hogarth that exists in “Jessica Jones” is not than the one you remember, the most obvious difference being that she is now a woman.
